Our Senior Management

The Senior Management of M&R Development brings extensive experience in development, construction and project management to the company. As a team, they oversee all aspects of a new project from site selection and purchase to architectural drawings, contract negotiation and construction management.

This group of seasoned professionals are the backbone of M&R Development and the reason for its continued success.

Anthony R. Rossi, Sr.
Anthony R. Rossi received a B.S. from Loyola University in 1963 and a law degree from DePaul University in 1969. Mr. Rossi received his C.P.A. from the State of Illinois in 1963 and passed the Illinois Bar in 1969. He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and the American and Illinois Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Rossi is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois and Florida.

Mr. Rossi is the President of M&R Development.

Anthony R. Rossi, Jr.
Anthony R. Rossi, Jr. is the Executive Vice President of M&R Development. Mr. Rossi is responsible for overseeing all facets of development including: the selection of sites, site planning, the entitlement process, financing and construction. Mr. Rossi joined Moran and Company in 1991 and has been involved with the brokerage division of Moran and Company, the management division of RMK Management, the rehab division of RMK Restoration, and the development division of M&R Development. RMK currently manages over 10,000 apartment homes, of which approximately 60% of the inventory is fee managed. Through RMK Restoration he has overseen the rehab and upgrades of over 5,000 apartment homes and the additional demolition and subsequent construction of four new clubhouses. Through M&R Development he has been involved in the construction of over 3,750 new apartment homes including the most recent projects Regency Place in Oakbrook Terrace, The Residences at the Grove in Downers Grove, Parc Huron in Chicago, and 73 E. Lake in Chicago. Mr. Rossi, received a B.S. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and is a Licensed Broker in Illinois and Minnesota. Mr. Rossi is also an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM).

Buddy Wright
As a construction consultant, Buddy Wright has worked with M&R Development on over 3,000 new apartment units as well as the on the renovation of more than 1,000 apartments for sister company, RMK Restoration. Mr. Wright brings the benefit of 32 years of experience in housing construction, land development, contracts and purchasing to the M&R Development team. Mr. Wright spent a significant part of his career with Lexington Homes, the largest home builder in the Midwest, where he served over time as that company's production manager, director of customer service and purchasing manager. Mr. Wright was also formerly a partner in New Horizon Construction Management Company as well as a project manager for Ryland Homes. In addition, Mr. Wright served as an advisor to Aspen Homes and was a construction consultant to AMLI Residential Properties Trust in the development of AMLI at Fox Valley and AMLI at Oakhurst North.

William A. Patrun AIA
William Patrun is a design, planning and entitlement consultant to M&R Development. As a licensed architect in Illinois, Mr. Patrun has over 25 years of consulting experience in both residential and commercial design and real estate development.

Prior to working with M&R Development, Mr. Patrun served as Director of Development at Walden Investment Corporation as well as Project Manager for Holabird & Root Architects. In addition, he worked on a number of projects developed by AMLI Residential, Hamilton Partners and Trammel Crow and was also a project manager in the development of several major hotel and office buildings for Prudential Insurance Company and LaSalle Partners.

Mr. Patrun holds a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Illinois, Chicago and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Iris Olson
Iris joined RMK Management in 2008 following a successful career in hospitality management. She is currently a Regional Manager for RMK Management and a Development Associate for M&R Development. She wears many hats within both roles and is recognized for her high ethical standards, model efficiency and can-do attitude.

After achieving success with her inaugural property, where she turned a low-occupancy building into a top performer within the company's portfolio, she was given the opportunity to oversee a multi-million-dollar common area renovation project. Following the success of the common area renovation, she accepted the role of Development Associate with M&R Development and Marketing Coordinator with RMK Management, for which she relocated to Illinois in 2016.

Iris has played an integral role in the development of three major properties, including The Residences at Hamilton Lakes, The Residences of Wilmette and The Residences at Addison & Clark in Wrigleyville. In addition to providing input on various selections and obtaining proposals for owner review, she coordinates all marketing collateral and social media agreements.

In 2018, Iris began overseeing a multi-million-dollar unit rehab program in her home state of Minnesota, and in February 2019, she accepted the position of Regional Manager with RMK Management. She now oversees our Minnesota properties due to her extensive knowledge of the Twin Cities markets. Iris obtained her Illinois Broker's License in 2018 and is currently pursuing her Minnesota Broker's License.

Mike Rossi
Mike received a bachelor of arts from the University of Michigan in 1989 with a concentration in economics and history, and an MBA in finance from DePaul University in 1992. He previously worked for The RREEF Funds, Sares Regis Group, Catellus and Freddie Mac. He has been with M&R Development since 2010.

Mike is the Senior Vice President of Finance for M&R Development.

Gary Thalheimer
In his role as Senior Vice President - Development and Construction, Gary Thalheimer oversees and coordinates all aspects of the design and construction process for M&R Development's new and renovation projects. Over a career spanning 40 years, Gary has served as design architect, developer and, for a significant amount of time, general contractor. Although successfully completing a wide variety of projects totaling in excess of $6 billion, Gary has developed an expertise in multi-family housing having designed, developed and constructed well over 12,000 units ranging from low rise affordable housing to luxury high-rise condominiums. Gary's previous work experience includes Executive Vice President with Tishman Construction Corporation, Vice President with Walsh Construction and Development Management positions with Hawthorn Realty and Walden Investment Corporation. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Science and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
